Yerf dog 3202 can't get the throttle cable to fit.

I bought a replacement throttle cable from bmi karts. And i know there the exact match. But where the gas peddle is i can't feed the throttle cable under the seat into this slim hole it won't fit. Any ideas?

My frient told me to just cut the ball off the end of the throttle cable then just feed it in that way. Is that ok?

does both sides have a ball? usually one side is open with just the wire , like this
