need assistance troubleshooting Sun SLGK-250-2A Carburetor

Postby Newbie » Tue Jan 15, 2008 10:57 pm

I purchased a SLGK-250-2A gokart this week.
After installing the gas tank/line, it appears no fuel is getting to the Carburetor.
There is gas in the line, but it does not appear to flow into the carb. nozzle.
The engine does not turn over at all.

Putting gas in the spark plug chamber does turn the engine over.

I need some assistance troubleshooting.
Not sure if I have identified the hose connections properly?

Any recommendations?

you just have to see where the gas is stopping
if its making it to the carb your going to have to open it up and see what the snag is.
if its new its never a bad idea to clean it out before you use, some carbs may have small shavings of metal in them that can clog jets or worse yet make it to the cylinder. You can pick up some carb cleaner for a few bucks at any small engine shop.
