Stripped spark plug hole

Postby jimsimm » Mon Mar 14, 2011 6:52 pm

My 2004 YerfDog has a stripped spark plug hole so I rethreaded it and installed a 10mm coil in the hole. Now I can't screw in a spark plug without stripping it. The coil screws right onto the sparkplug when it's NOT in the hole, but in the hole, it strips the spark plug as soon as I start to screw it in. Any ideas what I did wrong or how to fix it?

Jimsimm Welcome to GKRU, according to NGK's Website It a 10 mm. I have never tapped a spark plug hole in a gokart so sorry i can't help you there. You can read some advise given to another buggy owner in this Site
