help identifying and more

Postby joelster69 » Thu Apr 07, 2011 10:34 am

I picked up a yard kart , no shocks, no torqueaverter ,
18" rears,
I have a small gokart manco amer express (see my images) centrifugal clutch with 14-15 tires , 6 to 1 ratio , runs like a bat out of hell .
was trying to do the same with this larger kart ,
dont really want to waste my time smoking a clutch if its going to overheat with 18 wheels, the rear sprocket is 54 teeth , and clutch is 10 (can be brought down to 8).
the kart will be used on open grassy fields .
has anyone succesfully put a centrifugal clutch on lets say a heavyer kart .without the torque averter and would suggest doing it ,
I might even downsize the tires

thx!
