New Problem with my new go-Kart

Postby VisioN » Sun Feb 23, 2014 7:34 pm

It will not even crank now crybaby . The battery seems dead. I even purchased a batt. charger thinking perhaps I had left the headlights on and killed it to recharge the battery. That did not even work. The merchant said he was going to send me another battery also. I hope I don't have a lemon. Is it normal for the battery to go bad so soon ? Could there be another problem and the battery is good? It (the engine) will not even turn over...when the key is inserted...no horn or headlights...so it seems like the battery is the culprit. Thoughts anyone--

Could be the battery, I just had one go bad and it hasn't been a month. I usually just swap the battery out and put a good brand name one in when i first get the buggies, this one i didn't and it went bad. Also double check all your wire connections to see if anything came loose., especially in the housing containing the CDI and relay. Another thing to check if your buggy has one is the kill switch.

Depends on how much money you want to spend? My opinion Walmart would have the cheapest & decent type battery for your gokart.

Yep, the ATV battery is the same as the go-kart. They haven't given me a problem yet.

I think it cost me like $40 for it a few years ago. Have your tried the GokartsRus Website, they also sell batteries for gokarts and such.
