Rail Kart!!!!! I really need some help please!

Postby mctscott123 » Thu Dec 11, 2014 12:31 am

I am planning on making a Go-Kart that runs on abandoned rail lines in northern United states, i want it to have a large enough engine to have around 4 people on it and run around 30 mph. the wheels would be 17 inches in diamater. What would you guys suggest for engine size and gear ratio?

Please don't post the same message in other forums categories. As far as recommendation, I have no experience in building a rail kart, but i would think you would need some type of 4 cylinder engine from a small car. Other than that, I really can't suggest anything. Sorry.
