KJ, is there a reason why i can't edit my post? I tried to edit my post above but the edit buttons not showing up?

Anyways, i posted a image and direct link to this Forum from my Forum's home page. so people can see it, once they click on it, it will bring them here. Let the good times roll

OK weird i can edit this post, but none of my previous ones.

Yepper.. new format on editing...
The system now gives you 10min for edits to take place (moderators excluded of course) after you post it.

Why? Gives creditability to the board.
How? Lets say 'ole Ralphy' says to do this or that, you follow advice, find out it was incorrect and 'ole Ralphy' simply changes/edits his post and he now says he was never wrong! ;) So it's a posting creditability thing.

For regulars.. It's pretty easy, just quick review your content right after you post it, something is wrong or needs editing? Correct it. You got 10-min.

Can't wait to see them. I just redid my Forum also gave it a facelift and added some new links to the front page , 1 of them is to here.. Good to see you moving along with it though.

You know your (site) link is in every page you post in. It's SE friendly and gives credit as a backlink. It is linked in your post under your name as a "globe" icon next to your email (if you inputted it to be displayed) and PM icon.

I'm not allowing links in users signatures anymore so this is the place to show/get credit for your site(link). It works in SE's (like google) for your Backlink-PR quite nicely :)

That's cool, I personally don't like the signature idea either, i don't allow at my site either. I've noticed alot of traffic coming on but haven't seen any new post.( but ours) It's good to see Doc Hemi stopping by, wonder if Red and the rest of the old crew will stop by.

Just got done with building/implementing our new custom Spam filter. It should limit the new automatic "bots" from creating accounts and posting their garbage. If this filter gets compromised I can easily alter and even revamp it to stay ahead of these auto insertion posts.

We've now been getting indexed by bots (like google) so we should be back on the "search indexes" hopefully soon!

*Another Forum Update*

For those of you who like it "Black" we now have a new style to view the Forum in: "GKRU Inverted". Default theme (GKRU) will stay with the light-grey background but users who wish the Black background...

Edit your: (click) User Control Panel / [mousover: Overview] / Board Preferences then just select the pulldown box under :My board style". You can easily revert back if you don't likey.


Me? I'm staying with default (I wrote this in Inverted however). The light gray background is easier on my old eyes ;)
