Remarkable Robin Mod!

Postby Offroadkarter » Sun Nov 19, 2006 11:00 pm

Well while tampering with my EX17, i discovered near the throttle arm, a screw. I believe this is what smgs mistook for the governor. While it isnt the governor, it does limit how far the throttle arm

I decided to loosen the screw 3 turns. All i can say is WOW! All the hills i bogged on, not again. I actually hit redline at 3980rpm for the first time. Feels alot faster also!

So thanks SMGS for the akward inspiration lol

Sorry no sound

hi

Postby smgs92 » Mon Nov 27, 2006 7:56 pm

i also forgot to mention that ur engine aint gonna blow as long as you dont take the screw out well even if you do or you lose it just put another screw in and ur engine aint gonna blow i dont have the screw in mine and i floor it for a couple hrs and then i take a brake and tighten loose bolts and refuel and let i cool down for about 10 minutes and its ready to go again so dont worry
P.S. i put a replacement scrwew in but ive ran it without the screw but i didnt floor it oh and u may go through a belt or 2 in a couple months

I am sorry smgs. Just so i can believe i said that, ill say it again. I AM SORRY SMGS.

I dont know about 45, but i definatley did hit a new speed record.

Although, just so i feel better, you are still partially wrong. That aint the governor, just a minor bump stop angel
