Yesterday and today me and my Cousin got together and rode our karts at his place.

We were doing crazy_roll slides, jumps, you name it, we did it.

We would go down the road (its a decline) then powerslide, then going backwards floor it and see who could stop and get going first. I went through 3 gallons of gas, he went through about the same.

After the dust settled...he needs 6 new bearings, 1 new tire, a new chain, and his seat welded back down.

I need...are you ready?

2 new rear tires,
2 new rear wheels
1 new front bearing
1 new front spindle nut
1 new jackshaft bearing
1 new Secondary chain
Clutch

And my engine knocks under acceleration...I also floated the valves about 50 times today...lol

Started out with us doing a round of follow the leader...I was the follower, he lost it in front of me in a cul-de-sac, and I was forced to swerve, and ended up backing into the curb, smashing in my LR rim. Then I had a bearing fail while off road, and it fell apart when I came on road again. I bottomed out really hard on a little speed bump and it smashed the sprocket and chain a little bit...messed a couple links up.

Jckshaft bearing has excessive play now.

All the drifting and power slides tore up the clutch...

Then when I came home I noticed that I had exposed cords almost all the way around one of the rear tires...so I went for a spin down my road, and it wasnt long before I felt it pop.

So Im going to replace the clutch...and get the bearings I need...Ive got chain already.

Im going to order 2 new Carter split rims, and instead of going with the tubeless Burris slicks, Im going to go with 2 Carlisle 4.10/3.50-5 slicks.

Then I have to decide on what to do with the engine...I was totally embarrassed all day by the 5hp Tecumseh. He had a 6.5hp Clone engine, and he had me off the line, top end...and I was running balls to the wall!!!!

The XKE is on the invader...so that leaves me with (2) 5hp briggs, a 6.0hp Briggs Iron block engine, a GX200 Honda, an 8hp briggs (really dont want to go there). The Tecumseh I am using now is gutless....

I could go to HF and buy a new 6.5hp Clone...and save my GX200 "purebreed" for later mods....? Only 129,95

Oh man, this thread was so long ago! This thread started mod fever on this kart!

Since then Ive:

2 new rear wheels/tires
All bearings replaced
All chains replaced
new clutch (twice)
Dropped the Honda GX200 on it, and did exciting mods, then blew it, now it is apart with new piston, rod, rings, valves, springs, and a few...not so stock parts on order.

Now it needs new rear wheels and tires again...lol And 2 new rear hubs.

My cousin took his clone off and went back to the 5hp Hillbilly special...the clone sucked in an intake gasket or something...he is too retarded to fix it, so he took it off....
